Silly Billy product used :
Pickle mustard and pickle mayo
Ingredients
125 ml (½ cup) all-purpose flour
60 ml (¼ cup) cornstarch
7.5 ml (½ tablespoon) garlic powder
7.5 ml (½ tablespoon) onion powder
5 ml (1 teaspoon) paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
125 ml (½ cup) buttermilk
60 ml (¼ cup) pickle mustard
2 large eggs, beaten
500 ml (2 cups) Panko breadcrumbs
4 large dill pickles, quartered
250 ml (1 cup) pickle mayonnaise
Preparation
In a first bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
In a second bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, pickle mustard, and eggs.
In a third bowl, place the Panko breadcrumbs.
Using paper towels, pat dry any excess moisture from each pickle slice.
Dip each pickle in the flour mixture, then in the buttermilk mixture, and finally in the Panko breadcrumbs. Repeat this step a second time for extra crispy pickles.
Heat the oil in the deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Fry four pickles at a time for 5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Place the fried pickles on a baking sheet lined with paper towels to absorb the excess oil. Let cool for a few minutes and serve with the pickle mayonnaise.
